I’ve not been for a few years. Always thought it was a bit naff so stayed away. This year the weather was so good, and armed with my camera thought it would be a good colourful opportunity. The Floats gather not far from my home, so little excuse not to go. Must admit quite enjoyed the day. Managed to get a few good frames, and quite a few not quite so good…. you won’t see those;-) Ok so its not Rio de Jenerio but don’t knock it, lots of effort is put in, and there is always the risk of a wash out, so when the sun came out this year it was a real bonus.
Getting ready
I blagged my way onto a balcony above the shops. Ask politely, and carry a big camera... no problem!
